Principal's Message

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Pleasant View Elementary.  I grew up on a farm south of Jefferson, IA.  After high school, I attended Iowa State University and received my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.  After graduating, I taught preschool in Norwalk and kindergarten in Urbandale and Ames. Most recently, I have been an instructional coach and teaching and learning coordinator for the Ames Community School District.  I received my first masters from Graceland University in differentiated instruction and most recently in administration from Iowa State University.  My family consists of my husband, Dan, four children, and a miniature poodle named Ava.  My oldest son just graduated high school. This coming school year, I will have a daughter in eleventh grade, a daughter in ninth grade, and a son in eighth grade. We enjoy going on walks, bike rides, bonfires with smores, and vacations in Colorado.
